Seeking Software QA Analyst - (Suffern, NY) Suffern

We are currently seeking a Software QA Analyst for our Suffern, NY location.

Our ideal candidate is a tech savvy individual who will be accountable for testing software upgrades and modifications to proprietary application software. Position requires clear understanding of the application as well as purpose of the upgrades and impact of modifications and new features added.

Position Overview:

Responsibilities and Activities:

Test any changes to MedFORCE software and document.
Understand changes being made to software being tested.
Thoroughly test the software to ensure the feature works.
Report any flaws, errors or new issues to development team.
Ensure timely test completion.
3rd tier support for MedFORCE customers
Ensure professionalism in all communication with customers.
Ensure appropriate follow up for all assigned tickets. Obtain information from other internal and external sources as needed in order to provide the customer resolution to their issue, concern or question.
Assist other team members as needed.
Provide MedFORCE Management with data and information on issues handled by you that might affect other MedFORCE customers in addition to the customer that reported the issue. This requires being attuned to the software issues and how the software is used by customers and understanding when issues are specific to a customer or related to software deficiencies.
Provide 100% customer satisfaction.
Any other tasks assigned to you by management.

Expertise in testing procedures to ensure all aspects of the software are tested
Ability to create and test scripts a plus
Knowledge in multiple technologies such as Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Microsoft Server OS, SQL Databases
Ability to research technical related issues and provide a solution independently
Knowledge of standard operating hardware and possible bottlenecks such as drives, memory, CPUs, firewalls, anti-virus and anti-spyware.
Ability to learn about technology changes and new technologies as they are available to help MedFORCE be efficient and competitive.
Knowledge of Databases and queries, with need to completely understand the MedFORCE Scan database structure under the tutelage of a developer.
Excellent oral skills to interact with customers
Ability to deal with customers in a professional and respectful manner and to maintain a "customer is always right" philosophy.
