DGA Seeks Experienced Application Developer - (Midtown West, NYC) New York City

DGA Security Systems and its family of companies are looking for an experienced Front End Developer to join our development team. The team explores and implements a wide range of existing and emerging protocols (Web, Mobile, APIs, etc.) that maintain our firms' positions as technology leaders in the electronic security industry. We tackle problems across the spectrum of application development, so you will have the opportunity to contribute in a very real way to companies that are expanding rapidly to address multiple market segments with advanced technology and industry-leading customer service.
Electronic security is changing faster than ever before with application development needed in emerging technologies such as video analytics, access control integration, personal emergency monitoring, signal transmission and IP/telephony integration. This is your chance to lead and mentor junior developers as we build these applications, including mobile, that are at the very forefront of an industry in transition. You will sharpen your skills, learn new things and help develop the next generation of application development in an industry that is consistently growing, while maintaining a good work/life balance.
Primary Responsibilities
• Develop web applications for browser and mobile device
• Architect Front End solutions
• Lead and Mentor Junior Front End Developers
• Translate use cases into intuitive applications
• Perform debugging, quality control testing and beta support of assigned projects
• Conduct unit and integration testing
• Document software as it is developed
• Stay up-to-date on new technology, development tools and emerging standards
• Work within a RESTful environment while maintaining Enterprise level quality
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years experience as we Front End Web developer
• Well versed in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
• Experienced with JQuery
• Experienced with AngularJS and Bootstrap
• Experience creating Web Apps for Mobile Devices
• Knowledgeable about Responsive & Adaptive Design
• Familiar with PhoneGap/Cordova
• Preferred Languages: PHP, JavaScript
• Fast learner with excellent problem solving skills
• Works well on a team
