Seeking PHP/ WordPress Senior Developer - (Midtown, NYC) New York City

We're looking for experienced PHP developers who have worked with e-commerce systems and also know WordPress and WooCommerce well. You understand WordPress' strengths, and its weaknesses. You know when to leverage 3rd party services -- that do things WordPress doesn't do well -- can help determine what platforms to consider moving to when we outgrow WordPress.
You've written plugins large and small. Your code is object-oriented when it should be. You know when to build custom plugins, or extend publicly available ones.
You have experience with scaling PHP web apps, and debugging WordPress bottlenecks. You're comfortable with live sites with lots of users that process real customer credit cards.
You're detail-oriented, and don't need to rely on an official QA process.
You enjoy working with a diverse team (of technical and non-technical people). You have fun collaborating on the development and deployment process, as well as code.
You like thinking bigger than the code in front of you -- understanding business requirements, you have a passion for knowing about tech in general, and you're willing to admit *gasp* that WordPress, or even PHP, might not be the answer as the Freshly platform grows.
We're looking for developers in the New York City area, who can communicate well in English, written and spoken. We welcome all genders, races, etc. All we care about is that you love nerding out with PHP and WordPress!
