Seeking an Experienced Human Resources Manager (East Village, NYC) New York City

THE HR JOB
Animoto is looking for an experienced Generalist Human Resources Leader to maintain and improve all of our people practices, and provide the human touch that makes us tick. This is a very hands-on role (as in only HR employee). Working closely with our CFO, Office Manager and regularly with our executive team, you'll manage everything from on-boardings, employee relations, recruiting, reviews, reporting, and compliance. You will be the owner of All Things HR.

Be the subject matter expert and a great resource for department heads on all HR matters. Cultivate and help maintain our great culture. By dynamic! Oversee all the HR buckets.

These buckets -> Employee Relations, Policy & Procedure, Record Keeping, Performance Management, Recruiting, Compensation Support, Training, Benefits Administration, Coaching and Culture! Culture, for sure.

You also must have a demonstrated and broad HR experience. You must have 5+ years in some HR capacity, with at least 2 as a Generalist, and at least 2 years in startup. You understand the challenges of multi-state organizations, particularly CA and NY (show us your 2+ years experience there). 2+ years recruiting success, particularly for software developers. Compliance experience with 50+ employee organizations. Ack, this is a boring list, but that experience brings what we think we need. Very importantly, you must be fun and approachable. That is harder to see on your resume, but you can show us somehow. Be an entrepreneur. A self starter and owner.
