Windows 7 Deployment Technician Needed - (NYC) New York City

The Deployment Engineer works as a part of the Windows 7 Project Team, specifically specializing in migrating user data and the deployment of PC's and laptops updated with Windows 7.
This role is provided direction by the Windows 7 Project Manager and Desktop Architect.
Working hours will need to flexible from 10am-7pm or 12pm-9pm
Good overall knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems and how software interacts with them.
Execute defined Windows 7 user data migration and OS upgrade workflow.
Must be able to take the machines out of the boxes and set up each machine including rebooting the machine, follow prompts for setting up the machine, load additional applications and tools and then move on to the next machine
The Deployment Engineers will be rolling machines out to a trading floor which is going to involve setting up as many as 7 monitors as well as peripherals--printers, card readers, etc. - The trading desks have lots of built in equipment which is going to have to be disassembled then put back together as well as multiple PCs per desk.
There is also a large conduit system for wires and cables that is shared, so the potential to disconnect someone else's printer or monitor is high.
The deployment techs will only have 30 minutes per machine to deploy, so they are going to be pressed for time.
Ideally will have experience as a deployment engineer for Financial Services or coming from a Trading Floor environment
Execute defined post upgrade QA checklist and remediate or escalate issues as necessary.
Escalate problems or issues to the designated Deployment Technician Lead when unable to resolve independently.
Maintain a personable and professional relationship in all client interactions (walk-ups, inquiries, desk-side visits, status calls, etc.).
Self-starter with high energy and drive to meet the needs of a demanding customer environment.
Ability to think creatively as well as adapt and contribute to changing environments.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with both customer and collegues
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
B.S./B.A./M.S. degree or equivalent technical training.
