We currently have an opening for an Infrastructure/Security Engineer to join out IT Infrastructure team.

Job Duties:
- Ability to manage and complete multiple short, medium, and long term projects/tasks at a time.
- Employ fact driven methodology to assess current designs and identify potential improvements.
- Research and implement new technologies and approaches to problem solving. This includes software, hardware and procedure.
- Coordinate projects with all IT departments. (Infrastructure, Development, QA)
- Document and communicate methods of implementation and troubleshooting steps.
- Perform root cause analysis for problems involving multiple technologies (operating system, hardware, network, etc.)
- Constantly expand and deepen your existing skillset.
- Present and discuss all aspects of IT with individuals in the same and different teams.
Qualifications:
- B.S or better in Computer Science or Computer Systems Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux administration. (RHEL or CentOS 5 and 6 preferred, Solaris 10 a plus)
- Strong competency in layer two and layer three networking. (Ethernet, TCP/IP, basic routing, packet capture and analysis)
- A thorough understanding of protocols such as SMTP (Postfix), DNS (BIND), LDAP, DHCP, FTP, RADIUS, NFS, SMB, NTP, SNMP, SSH, etc.
- Experience with troubleshooting production systems and the incident management process. Proficiency with troubleshooting tools and methodologies. Experience opening and managing vendor support cases.
- Experience identifying, measuring and assessing performance criteria for complex systems. Experience tuning Linux internals.
- Experience with OS hardening and auditing. Knowledge of security best practices.
- Experience with Information Security tools, solutions, and procedures.
- The ability to script in multiple languages such as Bash, Perl, Python, PHP or Ruby.
- Experience working with preferred vendors, soliciting quotes, and justifying costs of new hardware and software solutions.
- Excellent technical and non-technical writing ability.
- Strong understanding of configuration management tools. (Puppet preferred)
Additional preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with financial trading platforms a plus. Experience working with and supporting application and web developers.
- Experience with HP, Oracle, and/or Dell hardware. Knowledge of Cisco, Arista, and EMC hardware a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of virtualization, specifically ESXi 5+. Includes high availability, security, performance, networking, storage, scaling. PowerShell and PowerCLI experience a plus.
- Experience with SAN and disk subsystem technologies. Includes design, performance and troubleshooting.
- Experience with patching and package management. Knowledge of building RPMs a plus.
- Experience with automated build and deployment tools. (Cobbler, Kickstart)
- Experience with source control tools. (SVN, Git)
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Ganglia, Nagios, Zabbix, and ZenOSS.
- Knowledge of object oriented programming languages such as Java and C++.
- Experience with Windows Server is preferred, as is experience with Active Directory, Exchange 2010+ and Distributed File System.
- A working knowledge of relational and document-oriented databases.
- Experience with design documentation and tools such as Visio. Experience presenting to technical teams and upper management.
- Experience using ticketing systems and wikis such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with ITIL, such as change management and release management.
