Network and Computer Systems Administrator needed for Manhattan area, St. Mark's Place Institute for Mental Health. Analyze, design, install, configure, & support an organization's LAN, WAN & internet systems or segment of network system & other data communications systems. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all systems users & may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. Perform network modeling, analysis, & planning. Research & recommend network & data communications hardware & software. Including telecommunications specialists who deal with interfacing of computers and communications equipment. May supply computer programs. Plan, implementation and/or upgrade website performance to ensure web sites operate correctly & without interruption. Review project plans to plan & coordinate project activity. Develop & interpret organizational goals, policies & procedures. Develop computer information resources, providing for data security & control, strategic computing & disaster recovery. Consult with users, management, vendors & technicians to assess computing needs & systems requirements. Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline, 3 years experience in large local area environment designing & analyzing network systems. Knowledge of hardware & software installation, testing, & operation; knowledge of application of computer software for automating highly diverse agency/organization activities. Capability & capacity of various software products communication utilities. Knowledge of principles of data communications & telecommunications. Knowledge of micro/ mini/ mainframe computer operating systems. Knowledge of local area network concepts & fundamentals. Knowledge of teleprocessing & telecommunications architecture.
