THE OPPORTUNITY : : We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our professional services team to assist with network implementations, infrastructure upgrades and relocations. The Network Engineer will serve as a technical project resource for implementing new IT equipment and evaluating client infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a proven track record in network trends, methodologies, and best practices.

Responsibilities Include

- Configuration, implementation, and support of network and systems hardware
- Work closely with service and project managers to ensure quality, on-schedule installations
- Provide post-installation technical support
- Interface with senior engineers to execute best practices
- Continuously pursue higher-level certifications with company support
- Document networks and systems using Visio
- Troubleshoot network and system issues
- Provide leadership, encouragement, instruction and support to junior team members
- Assist in sales process through both direct client and internal communications
- Actively drive and manage the technology evaluation stage of the project planning process, work in conjunction with the technical sales team as a technical advisor and advocate for our network products and services
- Participate in Project Team meetings as a pivotal member
- Record work and time in ticketing system in real time and document internal procedures
- Work off-hours (nights and weekends) on installation, support and service calls


Desired Skills and Experience

- 2-3 years of network implementation and support experience
- 2-3 years of experience with manufacturers such as Juniper Networks, Cisco Systems, Palo Alto Networks, Ruckus Wireless, Aerohive, Sonicwall, VMware and/or Brocade
- 1+ years of complex, multi-phase project experience
- Certifications in one of the following network disciplines: Security, Routing, Switching or WLAN
- Project+ or PMP certifications preferred but not required
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in use of troubleshooting tools
- Complete understanding of network design and implementation in enterprise and data center environments
- Complete understanding of networking concepts including network design principles, data flow determination, routing, switching, VLANs, IP addressing
- Desire to pursue increasingly advanced and rigorous certifications
- Excellent documentation and presentation skills including Visio
- Strong analytical and problem determination/resolution skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills regarding technical and non-technical concepts
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish professional working relationships with varying levels of both business and technical personnel
- Self-directed to complete tasks in both a professional and timely manner with minimal supervision
- A demonstrated history of delivering exceptional customer service
- A Excellent written and oral communication, and strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
