Desktop Support Technician Needed - (Ossining, NY) Ossining

Open Door is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for its Family Medical Centers located in Westchester and Putnam counties. The Desktop Support Technician will report to the Desktop Support Manager, based in Ossining, NY. The Desktop Support Technician will log calls, triage issues, perform initial troubleshooting and escalate issues to Desktop Support Manager for further action if necessary. Support includes, but is not limited to, remote access and basic troubleshooting of issues for the end user; creating, tracking and reporting on all open and resolved issues for the organization; installing and configuring desktop computers, VDI clients, mobile devices, peripheral equipment and software. Project based work in support of management, senior technical and project management staff. Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with computing equipment and software.

Open Door Family Medical Centers are located in Westchester and Putnam counties located just North of New York City, which offer excellent schools, easy access to a multitude of outdoor activities, and superb transportation connections to New York City.

Responsibilities:

· Assists staff with the installation, configuration and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software.

· Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with computing equipment and software.

· Ensures computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers and administrative systems.

· Assesses functional needs to determine specifications for purchases

· Orders computer supplies

· Maintains telephone system
Must maintain a cooperative working relationship with all staff, partners, consultants, and vendors

· Project based work in support of senior technical and project management staff

· Travel to datacenters and between Centers

· Possible travel to remote sites in support of the end user

· Office rotation

· Hours rotation
Special projects as assigned

Requirements:

· Associate's Degree or equivalent

· 3-5 years' experience supporting Windows Server (2003 and 2008) and Windows desktop/laptop PCs (XP, Vista and Windows 7)

· 1-3 years' experience supporting MAC OSX

· Experience setting up and configuring PC's

· Experience troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware on both desktop and laptop PCs; Healthcare IT background preferred

· A+ Certification a plus

· CCNA training or certificate a plus.
