IT Support Technician Wanted (Nassau, NY)

Parabit is currently seeking a dynamic IT Support Technician to join its New York Team. The candidate should have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of this line of work. This will be a great opportunity to have a direct impact on the day-to-day business of a leading systems integrator and service provider organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build and repair desktop computers
• Repair mechanical printers, card dispensers and other PC accessories
• Load operating systems and assorted office software
• Sources, builds, supports and trains on DVR, Kiosk and Computer systems
• The position will be involved in the study, development, and training of PC based kiosk products
• Once a need for a specific project is determined the candidate will be charged with discovering an application and then evaluate its suitability to fill the requisite
• Ability to integrate two or more application and have them work simultaneously
• Perform preparation, assembly, programming, testing and quality control of all products.
• Perform hardware/software configuration and testing
• Provide technical support to staff, and customers
• Adhere to and promote company values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a team leader and supports the continued growth of the company


QUALIFICATIONS / COMPETENCIES:

• Proficient with Word and Excel
• Knowledge of network configurations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong oral and written communication skills, necessary to build an essential inter-departmental collaboration.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and to prioritize their importance

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification required
• 2-5 years of experience
• Knowledge of general business practices
