The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO), a nonprofit agency dedicated to providing immediate, effective and comprehensive employment services to men and women with recent criminal convictions, is seeking an IT Assistant to be based in New York City. CEO is widely viewed as a leader in employment reentry and nonprofit performance management. In less than five years, the organization has grown from a single office in New York City to ten sites across three states. CEO is now poised for further expansion and is seeking to grow its service capacity and broaden its influence on a national scale.

The IT Assistant, with a strong networking background, is responsible for supporting the Computer, Network and Application Systems including but not limited to Server, Desktop/Workstation, VOIP, Hardware, Software, Office systems, Domains, Active Directory, Group Policies, Scripting and any technical or technology related system that the organization is using. The Assistant will also provide quick and top quality support to end-users.

Essential Functions Statements

These requirements are representative, but not all-inclusive, of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to lead in this role:

Assists with administering and managing windows domain servers in active directory, shared drive, group policies, securities policies, script and automation creation and deployment, user management and more.
Assists with administering and managing email system with google, creating users, password reset, phone, tablet and laptop sync, and groups email association.
Assists in maintaining the network, server, switches, hubs, access points and desktop, scheduling backups, image creation and restoration.
Assists with administering and managing the VOIP system, adding and deleting users, resetting VM password, assigning users station and extension.
Assists in configuring and imaging new and old computers for deployment
Assists/monitors assigned systems within environment to ensure optimal performance using any optimizing tools available.
Assists with technology planning and has the ability to recognized, recommend and implements upgrades to support the network, desktops, servers, and all other office systems.
Orders all computer equipment, monitors and maintain inventory of computer hardware, software and applications for fast deployment and replacement.
Performs maintenance and software upgrades on servers during established maintenance windows.
Schedules daily, weekly, and monthly assessment and scans for viruses, malware, and Trojan
Order and maintains inventory of cellphones, PDA and laptops assigned to different users.
Must be able to work with third party vendors for support, with VOIP, ISP, Copiers, and software used by the company.
Creates and maintains standards for automated server and workstation builds.
Deploys new software development required by organization and confers with Database Administrator execute changes.
Able to troubleshoot and resolve computer and system related issue in a timely manner.
Has the ability and open mindedness to learn and research possible solution, and very flexible in thinking outside the box.
Hungry for knowledge and keeps engaged and updated with technology during downtime.
Can work with little or no supervision.
Observes all company rules, regulations, safety practices and housekeeping standards.
Monitors, opens and closes Help Desk tickets generated from Salesforce ticketing system.
Administer and manage security and access cards in all CEO sites.
Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities that will be assigned from time to time.
