Senior Web Software Engineer
Sunset Park, Brooklyn
We're looking for a capable, driven, Senior Web Software Developer to help build and maintain the websites that make MakerBot possible. Candidates should be experienced with front and back end development and who works well independently and in collaborative teams. You will be responsible for our Web-supported products including our online file sharing community, Thingiverse.
As Senior Web Software Engineer, you will:
front end / back end development of new and existing Web products.
debug and optimize existing and new code.
perform peer code reviews and mentor junior developers.
work collaboratively with QA and software engineers on cross-team projects.
develop internal tools within MakerBot.
write awesome code that you can be proud of!
As Senior Web Software Engineer, you have:
senior-level Web development experience.
expert-level knowledge of HTML / CSS / JavaScript / MySQL / PHP.
experience architecting and implementing back end systems (from database on up).
experience working within an Agile development cycle; able to break down projects into short tasks and sprints.
able to write excellent technical documentation.
current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis -- we can't sponsor applications for work/student visas.
Extra experience counts too!
Experience with Ruby on Rails, node.js, and/or Python
Familiarity with 3D printing / digital fabrication / MakerBot
