Seeking Information Security Engineer - (Midtown West, NYC) New York City

The Role
The Information Security Engineer will also perform or contribut to day-to-day physical and logical security systems tasks as well as support other departments with customer-driven security related inquiries.

A broad understanding of Information Security Management principles as well as Risk Management methodologies will be required in addition to excellent communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Information Technology operations and engineering, software development methodologies, and web-application as well as mobile application security principles, and encryption concepts.

The Requirements

-Excellent verbal and written communications (ability to interface with customer organizations)
-Information Security Certification such as CISSP, or GSEC, GISF, GCIH, GCAWN
-5-7 years' experience with relevant roles/responsibilities (see below)

The Responsibilities

-Perform ISO 27001 Information Security Management System supporting processes including information assurance related activities.
-Prepare for and provide support for external and internal auditing and compliance programs (such as SSAE-16, ISO 27001, and customer initiated audits).
-Support other departments with Information Security subject matter expertise, calls, and site visit requests from new and existing customers.
-Participate in product development efforts by providing security subject matter expertise and guidance for systems and software development.
-Investigate and document Security Incidents.
-Administer corporate physical security controls (access cards, alarm system, CCTV).
-Support IT operations groups with security guidance for systems and services.
-Administer and enhance corporate Information Security Training program.
-Support Vulnerability management process (identifying new vulnerabilities, research and analysis and response).
-Administer and maintain security vulnerability scanning and event logging services and devices.

Experience Helpful:

-Endpoint protection software
-DLP Solutions and implementation
-Vulnerability scanning tools
-SIEM Systems
-Software Development methodologies/SDLC
-Demonstrated in-depth network security
-In-Depth knowledge of VMWare systems, Citrix systems, and Windows Server 2008 and 2012 administration helpful
-In-Depth knowledge of vulnerability scanning and vulnerability management programs helpful
