Seeking Drupal Specialist - (Upper West Side, NYC)

Responsibilities:


Help define, build and maintain high-performance, high-scalability, high-availability web infrastructure
Contribute to architectural decisions in the overall Juilliard web system
Participate in meetings and regular planning and review sessions (including design and code reviews)
Provide deep understanding of Drupal as a CMS solution to help Juilliard make strategic long-term decisions, including determining which modules to use based on the desired functionality. (standard, custom, third party)
Actively participate in the Drupal community and stay abreast of design and feature changes within Drupal including risks and challenges



Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree
4+ years experience in web application development with 2+ years' experience in Drupal application development
Deep experience with Drupal 7 architecture, best practices, and coding standards
Advanced skills in PHP5, MySQL and HTML/CSS/AJAX/JavaScript also JQuery/JSON
Experience with object-oriented design and data modeling
Familiarity with user experience design principles and processes
Experience with third-party applications/tools and integration (analytics, sales automation, etc.)
Experience with standard and custom search solutions, including Solr
Passion for building highly scalable systems in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
Solid understanding of web hosting environments both in-house and cloud-based
Effective interpersonal, organizational and team-building skills are required
Strong oral and written communication skills are required
Solid project and portfolio management ability helpful
Familiarity with the Acquia web hosting platform a plus
Knowledge of Python & Django helpful
Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint is a major plus
Prior experience at an educational or cultural institutions is a plus
