Position Description:

•Prepare structural engineering calculation reports, construction inspection reports, and structural modification designs.
•Perform engineering due diligence investigations nationally, which may require overnight or extended travel.
•Review reports prepared by junior level engineering staff members.
•Work with project managers and other staff members to insure successful completion of projects within prescribed budgets and schedules.
•This position will be based in any region or office.

Responsibilities:

•BS in civil, structural, architectural or construction engineering with 5+ years of progressive professional experience.
•PE licensure at a minimum; SE licensure is preferred. Ability to obtain additional licensure as requested.
•Design experience in the Wireless Telecommunication and Retail Industries.
•Advanced experience with finite element analysis software, Risa 3-d, Enercalc, AutoCAD, MS Word and Excel.
•Practical knowledge and application of national and local building codes.
•Experience working in a fast paced environment with multi-site project portfolios.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements:

Must have the ability to physically lift and carry 35-pound objects, stand/walk/balance when negotiating over rough terrain for periods up to 4 hours with limited rest periods, climb stairs, climb fixed ladders up to 16 feet high, walk/sit/reach/grasp objects and use tools and equipment in an office setting and on construction sites up to 8 hours a day with occasional rest periods, sight/touch/hearing/speech skills and ability to work independently without special assistance or accommodations. Ability to work occasional extended workday, weekends. May require occasional travel up to 2-weeks. Valid driver's license and registered/insured vehicle required

Educational Requirements:

Minimum requirements are an engineering BS in structural or civil with 5 years experience and licensed as a Registered Professional Engineer. Candidates not meeting the minimum education, experience and professional engineer license requirements will not be considered.
