Salary: $650/ week, plus room & board
Program Length: Three weeks (one week of on-site training; two-week program)

SUMMARY

Live on a beautiful college campus this summer and help make a difference in the lives of gifted high school students from across the country. Our national pre-college summer Program Instructors provide students with a one-of-a-kind, supportive and substantive learning opportunity: the opportunity to study one of nine different courses for two weeks on a real college campus. Program Instructors teach one course for a minimum of five hours per day, four days per week. In addition to being responsible for all day-to-day class functions, Program Instructors also live in residence halls alongside the students and participate in fun, non-academic activities after class. JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose:

Organize classroom activities and teach courses at Blueprint's signature summer program at designated locations (see specific course offerings and program locations).

Essential Duties:

- Provide a fun, distinctive and intensive educational course in a dynamic college setting.
- Plan and execute all day-to-day class functions.
- Maintain a positive, professional on-campus presence at all times.
- Create and develop course curriculum and corresponding lesson plans.
- Assist in supervising non-academic activities and providing general program/office administrative support.
- Assist in supervising all on-campus and off-campus activities, including student special events and road trips.

This description should not be construed to contain every function or responsibility that may be required to be performed by an incumbent in this job. Incumbents are required to perform other related functions as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

- Either one year minimum of teaching experience * OR * have completed or be in the process of completing a graduate degree in a field related to course of instruction
- Must be able to travel to and from designated Blueprint Summer Program location.
- Summer program experience is a plus.
