Seeking Summer Camp Counselors - (Bronx, NYC) New York City

BronxWorks' Summer Camp programs need Counselors I or II (full-time, temporary). Counselors supervise children; plan and implement literacy-based activities and clubs; set educational goals for children; create a nurturing environment; engage children in group games and sports; supervise junior counselors; and maintain student records. Some college strongly preferred (preferably elementary education); HS diploma/GED required; experience working with children in an educational setting preferred; and demonstrated writing ability. Must be at least 18 years old. Counselors work eight hour shifts Monday through Friday during the summer. Dates of camp: July 6-August 21. Some pre-camp work required as well.
