Our website serves as a lifestyle & events guide reporting on current trends in nightlife as well as dining, music, entertainment and fashion. For over ten years Joonbug has been the largest producer of holiday events (most notably Halloween and New Year's Eve) in the US, producing over 300 events and bar crawls per year.
As a producer, Joonbug executes each event from inception to completion; starting with renting the venue to operations, staffing, production, press, entertainment, promotions and ticket sales of each event.

Internship Positions Available:

Events and Marketing Internship Description:
Assisting Event Managers with planning and production of Joonbug ticketed events
Working with Event Managers on weekly events and finding new sources to market events/increase traffic to our site
Researching New York City companies to participate in our Complimentary Sponsorship Program and assiting in the planning of these events
Updating the Joonbug database with weekly party flyers and event info
Working on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter to gain exposure
PR and Social Media Internship Description:
Assisting Director with media alerts and press releases
Media outreach and finding new PR sources
Compiling press clippings
Contacting the featured venues, events, companies, people, etc. featured on our blogs for link backs
Establishing relationships with other blogs and helping to enhance our blog roll
Building social media strategies for sites such as Facebook and Twitter to gain exposure
Managing giveaways and Joonbug member benefits on Joonbug.com and all social media platforms
Job Requirements Include:
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
• Basic knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter is a plus
• Excellent writing/verbal communications skills
• Personable and ability to engage an audience
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines is key

Hours: Interns are in our Times Square office from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm. Minimum of 3 days per week (4 days preferred), Monday-Friday available.
