Marketing/PR Intern WANTED for Venture Capital Fund - Fall '14 (Midtown West, NYC) New York City

This internship position is open for Fall '14 undergraduate students only!

If you're a brand visionary with your finger on the pulse of social media, then your place is with the marketing team here at our firm. We're an early-stage venture capital fund based in midtown Manhattan and our primary focus is helping early stage companies deploy lightweight disruptive business models to become the low cost player in their respective markets.

From day one of the internship, you'll be working with a talented PR director who thrives on innovating how our firm is presented as well our respected portfolio companies. This is a fast-paced, hands-on opportunity, where you can flex your skills. If you're en route to starting a career in marketing, advertising, or public relations, there's no better environment for your professional development than this.

What you will be doing:

• Working with the Director of Communications on PR strategies

• Drafting press statements, releases and outreach

• Standardizing portfolio operational support

• Researching journalists and conducting press analytics

• Other creative and strategic initiatives


Qualifications:

• Must be a current undergraduate student.

• Be passionate about both your goals and our vision.

• A strong background in advertising, media, and communications

• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively
• Strong computer skills
