All Girls Camp Hiring AMAZING Instructors and Counselors! (Brooklyn / Manhattan, NYC)

CURIOUS JANE: Is an established, highly regarded summer camp for girls. We offer project-based programs centered around science, design and creativity, and we are seeking energetic, enthusiastic instructors and counselors for Summer 2015!

We attract talented, exceptional young women to lead our programs -- if you think you would be a good fit, please read on for details!

We offer a variety of themes that revolve around the arts, science, and engineering, with girls grouped by age choosing their favorite theme each week. Classes on offer in NYC include:

Spy Science, Gadgets That Go, Weird Science, Magic + Mystery, DIY Your Room, Kitchen Chemistry--and more!

Class size is small (8 -- 12 girls) and each class has a lead instructor paired with a counselor to assist with the projects. We are looking for bright, experienced young women to run the program this summer, and possibly to grow with it in future summers. Come teach and get creative with us!

HOURS: The camp day runs from 9am - 3:30pm with early-bird drop-off and after-camp available.

DATES: Varies by location (with some pre-camp prep, and 2 paid days of on-site staff training).

STAFFING: We are looking for Instructors and Counselors at all of our Brooklyn and NYC locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES + ROLE DESCRIPTIONS: Staff should be familiar with curriculum and projects for each theme, be well-prepared for class and be ready to engage with the girls. We have a unique Curious Jane tone for all of our projects and programs -- have fun! Experiment and explore! Be creative! -- and you should bring this to the classroom. You will need to be organized with your supplies, responsive to the needs of the campers and willing to collaborate and jump in as needed!

Instructors -- Are typically young women who have experience in the subject they are teaching. Many have teaching experience, some do not -- all love connecting with young girls!

Counselors -- Are typically college students with an enthusiasm for the camp experience.
