Seeking Project Manager - Broadcast A/V (West Village, NYC) New York City

AbelCine is a leading HD technology supplier to the broadcast, motion picture and new media industries. With offices in NY, CHI and LA, our company offers sales, service, rental, and finance services to the professional production community. Our Integration Department in our NY office is seeking a full time A/V Project Manager to join our staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, hard working individual to participate in our exciting and fast paced industry.

This position is a key role that would encompass the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for the coordination and completion of complex A/V installation projects for the
Integration Department
• Oversee all aspects of integration projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and
summarize the progress of projects
• Main client contact for installation projects managing their expectations and scheduling resources
within the department in order to complete projects in a timely manner
• Perform a variety of tasks in order to insure consistent and effective progress, such as providing
logistical support and hands on support for the purchasing, administration and installation teams
as required
• Manage and oversee activities and the development of the administration, purchasing and
installation teams and processes within the department.
• Meet regularly with the teams to coordinate schedules, deadlines and tasks
• Oversee and participate in the preparation of documentation for clients as required
• Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of projects.

Successful applicants should posses the following attributes:

• Bachelors Degree in Project Management or equivalent relevant work experience that clearly
demonstrates proficiency in project management
• Strong experience with a variety of equipment, practices and procedures in the broadcast and
A/V discipline
• Experience and knowledge in the field of construction management, processes and protocol
• Advanced knowledge of the following project management process of: Initiating, Planning,
Executing, Monitoring, Controlling and Closing
• A minimum of two years of experience with employee management
• Outgoing personality and ability to facilitate relationships between the project team other
departments and customers
• Ability to balance competing demands among scope, time, cost, and quality
• Proficiency in all basic project management tools and techniques, especially project
communications, risk analysis, cost estimation and budgeting and quality control
• Knowledge of planning and governance of large projects and programs
• Drive, flexibility and multi-tasking capability with ability to thrive in a team environment
