TheBlot Magazine is a digital publication that brings traditional journalism to the modern day with smart, witty, opinionated content. Our name pays homage to that ubiquitous mark found splattered on the desks of old-world authors, a symbol that evokes the power of the written word.
Our articles range from breaking, political, social and financial news to arts, entertainment and exclusive interviews with big-name stars.
We are looking to expand our team of freelance writers with highly motived, aggressive, opinionated journalists who have a proven knack for creating engaging, viral stories across a wide-range of beats and expertly turning them around on a dime.
We want exclusive and interesting interviews, op-eds, think pieces, quirky listicles, photo packages and everything in between.
Our writers should:
- be proficient in AP Style.
- be familiar with WordPress.
- have an entertaining and engaging style of writing.
- be social media savvy to promote not only your own content, but that of TheBlot Magazine as a whole.
- be brave enough to write what others are thinking but are too afraid to say themselves.
This is a freelance, remote position that pays $30 per post to start with the potential to earn more depending on traffic. There is also a monthly bonus for the writer of the story that receives the most pageviews.
