Seeking Technical Writer - (SoHo, NYC)

DigitalOcean provides the simplest experience to launch and manage your server infrastructure online. We are looking for a Linux sysadmin who is passionate about informing people of best practices and helping others learn. We are looking for a system administrator to take on a technical writing role and to help us continue to expand our knowledge base.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Writing articles on open source topics for the DigitalOcean Community
-Corresponding with authors to help focus in on article topics
-Reviewing technical tutorials to ensure that they are well-written and accurate

REQUIREMENTS:

-Experience working on the Linux command line
-Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

YOU SHOULD HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE WITH ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

-Linux: Ubuntu, CentOS, Fedora, Debian, Arch
-Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, NoSQL
-Web Servers: Apache, Nginx
-Automation: Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc
-Languages and Frameworks: Ruby, Rails, Python, Django, or Node.js
-CMSes: Wordpress, Ghost, Drupal, etc
-Miscellaneous: Postfix, Git, VPN
