Style Girlfriend is looking for a full-time web editor who wants to help men dress, date, and live with more style. Be a part of the popular daily lifestyle resource that lets guys around the globe in on practical and entertaining advice from a friendly, female perspective.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're seeking a web editor with 1-3 years of online writing, editing, content management, and social media experience. The ideal candidate can produce daily SEO-friendly content, as well as strategically engage and grow the Style Girlfriend online community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Editorial Strategy -- Close partnership with the Editor in Chief (EIC), collaborating on an editorial calendar that's a combination of un-branded and branded content. Contribute creative ideas for fresh, original features and updates to existing series, in a mix of trend-based and evergreen online content.

Social Strategy -- Development of broad social media strategy to engage and grow Style Girlfriend's social audience to drive website traffic and brand awareness. Evaluate and optimize brand messaging and programming using analytics tools including Google Analytics.

Editorial Content -- Write, create or source imagery, and load into content management system 5-7 posts per week, and schedule 1-2 additional posts by EIC. Special projects may include organizing and overseeing editorial shoots, covering product launches, and interviewing influencers in the men's style space.

Community Management -- Day-to-day management of the brand's social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. This includes engaging followers through compelling and well-timed content as well as addressing user questions and feedback. Set and exceed goals for growing the Style Girlfriend community online.

Relationship Building -- Establish and maintain relationships with key PR professionals, editors, and influencers by attending press previews, reaching out to brands for quotes, responding to press inquiries, and more. Over time you will become a key brand ambassador of Style Girlfriend.

ABOUT YOU

Interest in fashion/lifestyle and experience with a wide range of clothing, accessories, and grooming brands (men's or women's) is essential, along with a belief that -- no matter your budget or body type -- everyone can live with style. Successful applicant will able to turn ideas into interesting and engaging articles with little direct editorial oversight, and be available (with some flexibility) to engage with Style Girlfriend community and partners during standard business hours.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with WordPress or a similar content management system
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS
• Knowledge of best web practices, eg, tagging, headlines
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize work
• Ability to work productively from anywhere, with limited direct supervision
• Copy editing/proofreading experience
• Basic photography and photo editing skills a plus
