Purchasing and Customer Service Agent Needed - (West Village, NYC) New York City

AbelCine is a leading HD technology supplier to the broadcast, motion picture and new media industries. With offices in NY, CHI and LA, our company offers sales, service, rental, and finance services to the professional production community. Our Integration and Strategic Sales Departments in our NY office are seeking a full time Customer Service and Purchasing Agent to join our staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, hard working individual to participate in our exciting and fast paced industry.

This position is a key support role that would encompass the following responsibilities:

• Work closely with small team of senior salespeople to provide order completion, order
fulfillment, follow-up and customer relations
• Perform all purchasing for integration department and coordinate product delivery with vendors
• Assist in research of product and materials, determine best pricing and identify primary and
secondary suppliers of products for integration projects
• Monitor Integration POs for delivery, tracking and ETAs to insure timely arrival of products and
materials for integration projects
• Facilitate the processing and fulfillment of customer Sales orders, invoicing and returns
• Serve as a Customer Service point of contact for all clients regarding all sales orders
• Interface with our procurement and fulfillment departments, regarding inventory and purchase
orders for all house account sales
• Record and collect customer payments in accordance with company policies

Successful applicants for this challenging position must possess the following key attributes:

• Bachelors degree in communications, production, or equivalent industry experience in with
production or broadcast equipment
• A minimum of two years of administrative or heavy customer service work experience
• Experience with procurement of equipment and fulfillment of customer orders
• Experience and understanding of HD broadcast and digital cinema equipment and workflows in
both production and post-production
• Familiarity with video switching, projection, audio / video suites, multi-camera production
• Exceptional oral communication skills and exceptional written communication skills are a must
• Organization, efficiency and attention to detail are a must
• Ability to work well with clients and coworkers to hit deadlines
• Outgoing personality and ability to interact with other departments and customers effectively
• Drive, flexibility and multitasking capability with ability to thrive in a team environment
• Mac OS proficiency. Experience with Salesforce is a plus
