American Girl Place New York is seeking a Loss Prevention Manager.

As the Loss Prevention Manager, you will provide a safe and secure environment for employees to work and customers to visit.

Duties Include:
• Oversee the daily operation of the department. Manage and direct Loss Prevention team in the protection of company assets in accordance with all prevailing local, state and federal laws.
• Plan, develop, implement and evaluate the designated duties that impact the daily store operation and long term goals of the LP department. To provide an additional and higher level of supervision needed for a large staff with expanded responsibilities.
• Conduct training, guidance and counsel for personnel.
• Ensure the execution of all departmental administrative and routine tasks is completed. Ensure timely and consistent coaching of staff is completed. Ensure team participation in storewide meetings to create loss prevention awareness.
• Identify training needs on control and safety for team and store. Assist in the development and implementation of training programs.
• Provide the process and training to monitor traffic into, out of, and throughout the store.
• Investigate all substantiated, unresolved and/or suspected dishonest activity posing financial losses. Make recommendations that will assist in the prevention of losses by enhancing and/or establishing controls and reporting systems.

Experience/Skills:
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent Loss Prevention experience.
• 5+ years of Retail Loss Prevention is preferred in a multi store environment.
• Prior experience in managing and training of staff.
• Must possess NYS security guard license.
• Development of policies and procedure development. Conducting and managing internal/external investigations.
• A working knowledge of criminal and civil law as it pertains to fraud detection, investigation, rules of evidence and prosecution. Familiarity with the criminal justice system as it pertains to felony and misdemeanor prosecutions at the local, state and federal levels.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work as a team with store management and collaborate with corporate partners
