Quantcast, a revolutionary audience intelligence and addressable advertising company, has aggressive plans for expansion and is creating a new vertical/category development sales-strategy team.

The Head of Vertical Development will be an experienced digital media executive with direct experience working within several major verticals, a deep knowledge of digital direct response and brand advertising, and a strong people manager. This individual will be based in our New York office and responsible for building and leading a Vertical Sales Strategy team of up to 10 people.

The Head of Vertical Development as well as his/her team will act as strategic "farmers" who are responsible for working with our sales, client service and product teams to develop and project manage a strategy to grow revenue within our top accounts in each major vertical.

Responsibilities:

Develop sales/revenue strategy for our top accounts (highest run rate and/or largest revenue potential) in each major vertical.
Create and develop account development plans.
Participate in client facing business reviews and client recommendation meetings.
Attend vertical trade events to represent Quantcast and network with prospective and current clients.
Maintain and develop relationships with key decision makers at respective agencies and direct clients.
Centralize internal account stakeholders (aka "air traffic controller") to help drive revenue and grow key accounts.
Continue to be well versed in our competitor's vertical specific solutions.
Regular reporting including forecasts against plans.
Build an intimate understanding of Quantcast products and their place in the industry.
Assist in recruiting and managing a team of up to 10.
Develop a plan for the growth of this vertically aligned group.

Requirements:

10+ years sales experience in online advertising
Current or previous management experience (5+ years) required
Ideal candidate will have experience as a director at a large ad agency
Proven track record of establishing and exceeding team and individual goals
Experience hiring, training, and managing a large team
Extensive experience across several major verticals (i.e. CPG, travel, finance)
Strong client facing experience
Strategic thinker with the ability to work cross-functionally and lead internal stakeholders
Experience in programmatic/RTB is ideal
Active in industry trade and networking events
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written)
Strong attention to detail and ability to QA own work
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Master's degree is preferred
