Seeking Part-Time PROGRAM MANAGER - Shahara's Closet (Fort Greene, Brooklyn, NYC)

Northside Center has been a leader in mental/behavioral health and education services for over six decades. Northside Center is establishing Shahara's Closet, a clothing bank for low-income children ages 0-5, at our Ft. Greene Head Start facility. Shahara's Closet will provide diapers, clothing and other basic necessities that every child deserves.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall responsibility for implementing, managing and ensuring the success of Shahara's Closet by:
• Development and execution of overall work plan for organizing and distributing clothing and other materials to low-income families.
• Coordinating the ordering, pick-up, storage and distribution of inventory.
• Coordinating Northside youth volunteers. Planning, organizing, leading and evaluating work of volunteers.
• Assisting Northside staff in promotion and marketing of this program.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Three years prior experience in non-profit or social service environment.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to successfully manage volunteer and staff relationships.
• Excellent computer skills including experience with recordkeeping and databases. Skilled in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Committed to helping children and families living in poverty.
