The Impossible Project is hiring a part time Camera Refurbishment Technician in our Brooklyn office!

Job Description:
Employee will assist in general operations of the Camera Refurbishment Department under the direct supervision of the Camera Refurbishment Manager & Lead Camera Repair Technician, as well as the Camera Inventory Manager. Employee will be responsible for accurately tracking incoming and outgoing camera inventory, and completing cleaning and refurbishment tasks as directed. Employee will also be held to 90% efficiency standards on given tasks. These responsibilities are coordinated by the Camera Refurbishment Manager in a team workflow.

Responsibilities:
Vintage Camera Logistics
Assist the Camera Inv. Manager and Inv. Asst. Manager with receiving and sorting of physical Camera Inventory.
Assist with proper labeling of all cameras and packages of shipments going out.
Quality Assurance
Using established guidelines, to clean and refurbish all cameras as directed
Assist with handling the refurbishment of cameras, following protocols for cleaning, and using checklists and labeling to accurately track progress of cameras in the process.
Maintain an acceptable level of quality in the refurbishment process as set forth by the Camera Refurbishment Managers.
Cleaning and skinning of folding cameras as needed and directed by Camera Refurbishment Managers and Lead Camera Repair Technician.

Requirements:
Teamwork - Must work well in a team environment.
Take direction well in executing specific assigned tasks.
Warehousing
Working with box cutters and tape guns for opening and packing boxes
Moving and handling 40lbs. boxes
Bookkeeping
Familiarity and/or ability to learn Excel/Google Docs and Quickbooks
Basic math skills
Camera Refurbishing
Cleaning and modification of cameras
De-skinning and skinning of cameras
Comfortable with use of cleaners, solvents, and sharp tools.

Compensation:
$12/hr
