We at gCreate LLC, makers of the extra large gMax 3D Printer, are seeking an assembly coordinator to join our growing team. Located in Industry City, Brooklyn, our company manufactures, assembles, and ships all of our products in-house. We are specifically looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable assembly team member to come in and run our production printers and work on the 3D printer manufacturing process. Shop Assembly Team Member
We are currently seeking a Shop Assembly Team Member to work in our shop/office
located in Industry City/Sunset Park, Brooklyn. You will be an integral and valued team member of an exciting and growing 3D printing company. Being an early hire, you will have a direct impact
on the company's success and expansion. This position calls for a lot of responsibility and
there is potential for rapid promotion for the right candidate.
Shop Assembly Team Member responsibilities:
● Work directly with your supervisor in multiple stages of the assembly and
manufacturing process.
● Perform quality control on manufactured and assembled parts.
● Aid in packaging finished products and preparing them for shipping.
● Keep the shop organized, clean, and running efficiently.
● Provide direct input to the owners of the company for shop efficiency and operations.
Shop Assembly Team Member requirements:
● Experience - You have previous manufacturing and/or production experience (2+
years preferred), experience with 3d printing including gcode generation and printer
operation, experience using a wide range of power and hand tools, a bachelor degree
preferred (not required), a High School Diploma or a GED (required).
● Detail Oriented -- You take pride in the quality and appearance of your work down to
the fine details and you can recognize and share when something is wrong.
● Resourcefulness -- You maximize the utility of your resources and will actively engage
in brainstorming ways to optimize.
● Organization -- You perform in an efficient and structured manner and can think quick
on your feet. You also have the ability to follow detailed instructions and provide
useful feedback to your supervisor.
● Drive -- You understand the nature of small business and/or have worked for them
before. You know how essential it is for every team member to be driven and
goal-oriented.
● Physical - You have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand on your feet for up to
8-10 hrs per day, and work full-time if needed.
● Electronics Experience (preferred) -- Our machines contain precision parts that require
assembly so it is preferable if you have experience with electrical components.
● Computer Experience - You have familiarity with windows based computers and
standard 3D printing file types (stl, gcode). You also have familiarity with 3D printing
host and slicing software.
● Additional Requirements - You agree to a background check and current authorization
to work in the United States on a full-time basis, we will not sponsor applications for
work or student visas.
We are looking for someone who is actively engaged or interested in the 3D printing community and who is very excited about the future prospects 3D printing has to offer. We also would like someone who is interested in shaping the future of 3D printing and its impact on consumers. We are not seeking interns for this position.
This job pays hourly and is part-time to start with re-evaluation after 3 month trial period.
