Instrument Repair Specialist

Act as the primary surgical instrument service representative for hospitals and surgery centers.

Primary responsibilities include:

Identify surgical instruments by type, surgical use and required functionality
Adjust, align, adhere, braze, stencil, serrate, sharpen, deburr, replace parts, finish and passivate surgical instruments to required functionality
Identify, document and communicate non-repairable issues on all instrument types
Enter all repair information into Repair Manager, provide service reporting and microscopic images/ documentation on non-repairable damage
Lead quality business reviews, sales calls and other customer interaction
Develop pipeline of prospective sales opportunities
Pursue sales opportunities
Deliver Instrument Care and Handling In-Service presentation
Requirements:

2 year degree in biomedical, electrical, computer technology, mechanical technology or business administration, or equivalent industry experience
Valid driver's license and safe driving record
Successful completion of the Apprentice program; or equivalent industry experience
Successful completion of IR dexterity exercises
