Retail Assistant Intern

The Retail Assistant Intern will learn what it takes about every phase of running an upscale retail business. You will report to someone with over 25 years of successful experience in the business and fashion world. This is a great internship for someone looking to add valuable start up experience to his or her resume. This internship will involve working together with the owner, but also a certain amount of independent computer work on various projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Development
-Work with owner on various projects including, but not limited to, new account set up, researching key brand distributors and establishing first contact, working as a liaison between accounting, legal and web development to facilitate projects, placing and tracking orders
-Assist in structuring in-store, web and field promotion events with owner

Education, Experience or Interest in
-All phases of Retail, luxury, fashion and the equestrian world
-Project management
-Currently enrolled in a college or university and eligible for internship

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-MS Office, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.
-Good written and verbal communication skills
-Analytical
-Able to self-motivate and work independently
-Creative
-Innovative and determined
-Interest or basic knowledge of horses a+

*Note, this position is based in Westchester County, NY (roughly an hour from midtown manhattan by car, also accessible by train but would need to cab over form there, ideal for candidates based in Westchester or Fairfield Counties).
