Job Summary:
The ASPCA seeks an experienced Project Manager to manage a Workday implementation. This exciting project will transform the ASPCA HR and Finance functions, and allow the ASPCA to use data and analytics to drive program alignment and maximize organizational performance and talent management. In collaboration with Workday and third-party implementation partners, the HCM/Finance Project Manager will charter the project, manage project roles, identify resource requirements, meet training needs, define project deliverables, and ensure customer satisfaction and successful deployment.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct business readiness assessment to build requirements for external implementation partner (EIP), based on project goals, resource availability, change management needs, and required efforts.
Together with the VP of Information Technology, SVP of Operations and Chief Financial Officer, develop Request for Proposal for EIP, and coordinate key stakeholders in selecting EIP.
Create recommendations for senior management on Workday program governance structure.
Together with external partners and internal stakeholders including Internal Communications, ensure deployment of a comprehensive change management plan.
Together with EIP, create project plan for Workday implementation in collaboration with the EIP's phased project plan.
Create and maintain a proactive interface between EIP, Workday and the internal consultants to ensure effective coordination and delivery of Workday implementations.
Projects and responsibilities may be added or changed at the ASPCA's discretion.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Full understanding of Workday Implementation Methodology.
2-3 years hands on experience as an internal Workday project manager or Workday implementation consultant.
5+ years previous program/project management experience required, including experience with scope and requirements definition and design, problem solving, process mapping, gap analysis and process improvements. Workday configurations experience a plus.
Previous functional/technical HCM deployment experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software organization.
Experience with Workday Financials deployment preferred.
Experience leading and participating in technical and cross-functional projects.
Ability to build, manage and cultivate collaboration and successful teams.
Ability to engage and influence others in the attainment of the vision for the future.
Exchanges information with appropriate team members to complete work, follows through on tasks and commitments and keeps information confidential, as warranted.
Sets appropriate priorities, and multi-tasks, responding with a sense of urgency to immediate needs.
Strong communication skills with all levels of the organization and external partners.
Knowledge of HR and Finance functions and processes.
Detail-oriented, execution-oriented and driven.
Proficiency in PM software i.e Smartsheet, AtTask, and Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment toward the job and mission of the organization.
