Graphic Design Intern Needed - (Downtown, NYC) New York City

The MP Shift is a New York based concept, design and branding studio, working primarily on lifestyle spaces.We turn ideas into lasting concepts and interiors, focusing on every detail from brand identity to the floor tiles.
We're growing quickly. Our first project is for an iconic 30k sq ft space in downtown Manhattan, and we are in talks with several other growing brands who need help with visual brand assets, concepts and interior design.
If you're tenacious, passionate about design and immersed in culture we'll give you plenty of opportunity, immediately we need help with the below ....
• Agency management: administration, scheduling, meeting recaps, office to do list...
• Business development: find potential client opportunities among the hospitality and cultural industries, produce PowerPoint business pitches
• Branding/design: enrich agency's pin boards and instagram account with brand design inspirations, research emerging graphic designers and artists/illustrators to expand agency's catalog, contribute ideas to visual design development for clients.
• Production: be the helpful and responsible liaison between clients, designers and agency founders, so as to ensure a smooth production process for all visual assets.
Requirements:

• Strong organizational skills
• Interest in entrepreneurship and business development
• Good network and sources for graphic design
• Skilled eye and extensive visual culture
• Passion for art and branding
• Must be referencing several sources of inspiration a day. . .blogs, magazines, books, instagram etc.
• Photoshop skills a plus
Timing:
Things just started rolling, so we need the right candidate as soon as possible, for 6 months minimum ideally, but we are open to discuss.

o 15 inspirational images that show us how you would envision the brand identity of a new and buzz-worthy food & cultural community center, from the logos to the calendar through the menus, etc. Taking into account that the space will be design-forward but inviting, for every generations. A place you want to visit every day and stay a while.
o Write a note on each image stating what it is specifically in the image that inspires you.
compensation: This will depend on the length of commitment and skills but we are competitive.
