Energy Efficiency Field Technician - (Midtown West, NYC)

ERS is a progressive energy engineering firm specializing in providing technical, implementation, policy, and program advisory services to clients throughout the U.S., Canada, and abroad.
ERS is currently seeking a candidate to serve as a field technician. The position will be based in our New York City office, and the successful candidate should have an interest in energy efficiency and environmental issues and the following relevant experience:
• Conducting electrical or HVAC field work (electrician or HVAC tech)
• Using temperature loggers, combustion analyzers, and other metering devices
• Working in commercial and industrial facilities (preferred)
The successful candidate must have excellent communications skills, be highly organized and computer literate, and be able to travel occasionally. A familiarity with commercial HVAC systems in buildings and industrial facilities is preferred.
The position has three primary responsibilities:
1. Working closely with engineers and project managers to schedule, deploy, and retrieve data acquisition and monitoring equipment in customer sites
2. Downloading data from the equipment after retrieval and coordinating data files
3. Data file setup, analysis prep, and report development
