Hiring DOT Commercial Truck Drivers (Brooklyn, NYC) New York City

An Asian Food Manufacturer is looking for DOT commerical truck drivers.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
• Operate heavy equipment such as electric pallet truck and hand pallet truck; maintain and daily service of the same.
• Operate medium duty trucks (33000 GVW); maintain and daily service of the same; comply with all DOT rules and safety regulations
• Load and unload of the finished goods, supplies and raw materials such as flour, boxes and pallets, and ensure proper handle of the same.
• Transport and unload goods to designated locations, ensure accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation, keep track of all damaged inventory and report to the direct supervisor
• Assist other warehouse workers as may be required including but not limited to packing, labeling and wrapping and placing orders on wooden platforms and pallets
• Carry out all orders of the supervisors efficiently
• Compliance in accordance with all food & industrial safety regulations of the warehouse
• Coordinating work with fellow workers and other team members
• Tasks assigned by the direct supervisor included but not limited to the above functions.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Competency Statement(s)
• and acceptable driving record
• Basic knowledge of using and operating warehouse machinery and equipment
• Basic arithmetic, reading and writing skills
• Ability to efficiently coordinate works with internal and external workers of the company
• Should have the ability to work in a team
• Should be physically fit and able to carry at least 50lbs of stocks and be able to complete all assigned work efficiently
• Should possess time management skills and be able to meet targets
• Should possess good customer service skills
• Should have the ability to work in any traffic and weather conditions

Certificates & Licenses Commercial Driver license A or B a must, forklift certification is a plus
