RESPONSIBILITIES

YRC Freight Pick Up & Delivery Drivers operate commercial motor vehicles in urban, suburban, and rural areas in all weather conditions to pick up and deliver freight.
Obtain assignments and inspect loads, paperwork, and equipment prior to leaving the facility.
Load and unload freight in varying conditions at both Company and customer facilities utilizing the same techniques and procedures as a dock worker.
Professionally represent YRC Freight through responsible driving and excellent customer service.
Qualifications
In order to become a YRC Freight driver, you must:
Have one year experience driving similar equipment in various traffic and weather conditions.
Be age 21 or over.
Have a record of safe and competent driving as demonstrated on a state Motor Vehicle Record.
Have a valid Class A CDL with doubles/triples, Hazmat, and tank endorsements.
Be willing to work any shift and day of the week.
Have the ability to record applicable freight information on Bills of Lading and match back to the freight bill.
Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Have a reliable form of transportation.
Have the ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. from the floor to above shoulder and horizontally and carry objects up to 50 feet.

Preferred Qualifications
Basic computer skills in order to record applicable freight information on bill of lading.
Experience operating a forklift.
Experience in the transportation industry.
