TechnologySandbox.com Growing IT Services company in search of IT Technicians. The IT Technicians requires having knowledge in computer hardware and software.

To provide technical assistance to computer system users, answering questions and resolving computer issues for clients in person, via telephone and/or from a remote location. May provide high-level support for computer hardware and software, including printer installation, word-processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.

Responsibilities:

- Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems
- Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
- Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors.
- Install and perform repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
- Maintain systems, install new units, and make modifications to the network system as required.
- Troubleshoot and assist users with any difficulties they may encounter.
- Maintain e-mail system and ads users as required.
- Work with the network administrator to review and analyze hardware and software needs and recommends changes and upgrades.
- Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or department management for service.
- All other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Excellent desktop and network troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office suite.
- Good working knowledge and experience in Windows Server 2003-2008, Exchange 2003-2010, AD, LAN/WAN a plus.
- Able to work with both technical and non-technical staff to solve network problems.
- Willingness to be on call and to work long hours if necessary, but not frequently, in case of serious network malfunction or projects.
- Critical Thinking -- Able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Deductive Reasoning - Able to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
- Active Listening - Able to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Able to speak to others to convey information effectively.
- Able to recognize when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong in order to be proactive.
- Knowledge of Printer Repairs and AV are a Huge Plus
