Senior Software Engineer - AEM/CQ5
We're searching for a Senior Software Engineer who can deploy innovative solutions for a variety of projects. You'll stay abreast of the latest developments and trends in internet-based technologies. You'll also design and then build highly dynamic, data-driven internet-based platforms.
Tasks and responsibilities include:
Lead technical design and implementation of practical, maintainable project solutions
Develop and adhere to coding standards
Maintain a consistent focus on quality for projects
Stay abreast of evolving web standards
Perform code reviews, developing and adhering to coding standards
Encourage team awareness and appropriate adoption of emerging technologies
Mentor junior team members in utilizing new technical skills and help lead peer-level code reviews
Work comfortably within a dynamic, challenging environment while understanding the importance of meeting client delivery deadlines
Maintain open communications on current project status, risks and challenges
Become a recognized subject matter expert within fields of expertise
To qualify, you'll need:
Bachelor's degree
3-5 years overall web development experience
3+ years of strong AEM / CQ5 Development Experience (preferred)
Preferred experience with architecting JCR/CRX data structures
Experience with web services, preferably RESTful, server-side as well as client-side
Preferred knowledge around configuring and extending AEM / CQ5 modules such as: Multi Site Manager, Workflow, Users, Groups, Permissions, etc.
Preferred experience with Adobe Marketing Cloud integration
NOTE: Will consider other Enterprise CMS experience
Proven track record as technical team member
Solid grasp of web solutions utilizing a Content Management System (CMS)
Expertise in HTML, CSS
Advanced Javascript development skills, including knowledge of jQuery, Ajax and DOM
Strong Java or .NET/C# skills including proficiency in Web services, JSP/ASP, rebuilding and deploying Java or .NET applications to the server environment, use of open source frameworks such as Lucene, Servlet maintenance, IDE tools such as Eclipse or Visual Studio
Proficiency in XML and its role and application in complex software projects
Firm understanding of software engineering methodologies such as object-oriented design and design patterns, including MVC
Web administration skills on web server and application server products, preferably Apache, Tomcat, etc.
Knowledge and experience with SQL, relational data models and database systems, especially in support of web sites and related architectures
Experience preferred with deploying cloud-based web solutions, e.g. Amazon
Ability to work well in small teams
Proficiency in Windows environment as development platform
Solid UNIX skills including UNIX shell commands, shell scripting and Ant; skills in remotely accessing systems via SSH, Telnet, FTP
Solid experience in testing methodologies, test-driven design and the creation of effective and reliable test cases
Familiarity with web security methodologies such as managing SSL certificates
Experience in designing and coding for web accessibility
Expertise in the authoring of technical requirements and the definition process
Good team skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Travel may be required
