.Net Developer Wanted - (Midtown, NYC) New York City

A thriving e-commerce company located in midtown Manhattan is currently seeking motivated and experienced .NET Web Developers. Successful candidates in this role will need near-expert knowledge of .NET development. Primary requirements include strong front end work experience and expertise using .NET Framework 2.0, ASP.NET, hand-coded HTML, hand-coded CSS, JavaScript, etc. Experience in SQL programming, AJAX, and Web Services are a plus. The best candidates are detail oriented, demonstrate good communication and listening skills, and have strong critical thinking skills. This is a demanding, high-visibility, hands-on role with opportunities to impact the bottom-line of a company where hard work is recognized and rewarded.
Responsibilities
1. Develop code in presentation, business, and data access layers using VB.NET, ASP.NET, HTML, Basic CSS, Occasional JavaScript, SQL, etc.
2. Develop software code and associated lifecycle deliverables
3. Develop innovative approaches
4. Provide feedback and information to other designers, developers and producers
5. Participate in software and hardware evaluation for design and production tools
6. Document results and acting upon findings
Qualifications
1. 2-5 years of .NET development work experience
2. Bachelor's degree with a focus in Computer Science or Information Systems
3. Working knowledge of the E-Commerce industry
4. Solid understanding of Architecture
5. Distributed Architecture
6. Layered Architecture (ie: MVC)
7.Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
8. SQL 2005 programming
9. HTML and CSS hand-coding
10. JavaScript
Compensation
This position offers a starting salary range of $70 to $80k, comprehensive benefits (medical/dental, 401k, paid time off, short and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, transit assistance, etc.), and the opportunity to work in a very friendly and stable work environment where you will play an influential part in the company's continued success.
