Hiring Manager of Enterprise Systems at The Juilliard School - (Upper West Side, NYC) New York City

Juilliard's Manager of Enterprise Systems oversees the design, maintenance, operation and integration of the School's key enterprise I.T. systems. Central amongst them is the Ellucian Colleague student information and enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for enrollment, student information, human resources and finance/administration and associated web components. Other enterprise applications include the Raiser's Edge system; Canvas LMS, the online application system; the payroll system; room reservation; SharePoint, Juilliard Mobile, online event ticketing system; the JCAS emergency alert system an inventory management and point-of-sale system; and a system for data reporting and analytics.

The Manager works collaboratively with the enterprise systems team, other I.T. staff and various departments to align investments in enterprise information systems and related architecture with the school's educational mission and strategic objectives.

As part of the I.T. team reporting to the CTO, the Manager also assists in broader matters of planning/budgeting, service and infrastructure oversight, project implementation, personnel management and administration.

Core Duties
• With a strong and varied technical skill set that includes expert-level programming and modern web development skills, this position provides hands-on support within an existing team of technical professionals.
• Supervises the 4 FTE Colleague team, and draws on and integrates the related work of other professionals within the central I.T. department that has a headcount of fifteen (15) and also includes those responsible for network operations, desktop/helpdesk support, and administrative support.
• Works directly with school-wide stakeholders -- especially the vice presidents or managers responsible for enrollment-related functions (admissions, registrar, and financial aid) finance, campus life, human resources, and development/public affairs -- to design and implement the workflows and related technologies needed to serve their respective constituencies.
• In collaboration with campus stakeholders, I.T. staff, and outside vendors, provide strategic but hands-on leadership and project management in the planning, implementation, and post-implementation refinement of ERP projects, including those prompted by emerging best practices in the field and those required of the school by regulatory authorities.
• Cultivates an organizational focus on enhancing user experience, process efficiency and on identifying and meeting user needs.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Direct experience in higher education required
• Must be a hands-on and a deeply-skilled technology and solutions architect with experience implementing and integrating packaged and custom solutions
• Expert knowledge of and at least five years of in-depth experience with ERP platforms in an education setting (such as Colleague, Banner, or PeopleSoft); experience with typical modules (Admissions, Student, Financial Aid, HR, Financials, etc.) is a strong plus
• Experience managing technical staff; experience in managing a rapidly shifting operational environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Solid project and portfolio management skills particularly the Agile methodology
• Proven expertise in the development of data reporting solutions to support institutional analytics and research. Any experience with enterprise class, web-based, ad-hoc reporting tools such as Informer a plus.
• Must have keen insight into business processes and possess the ability to perform business process analysis
• The ideal candidate will be a campus technology leader and trainer with strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong facility in data management in a heterogeneous database environment
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse work environment, be attentive to details, be accurate, be precise
• Ability to reason/analyze; maintain confidentiality; and demonstrate tact, patience, understanding
