We are seeking a talented Statistical Data Scientist to join ROBLOX as a key partner in building a new analysis unit from the ground up. You will serve as a strategic advisor across our internal teams as well as supporting and developing infrastructure and methodology for user experience testing and analytics.

Responsibilities:
· Utilize statistical testing, predictive modeling and forecasting to create cutting edge, analytics-based solutions to help teams optimize our customer experience
· Partner with internal clients to identify business opportunities and develop robust advanced analytics solutions (e.g., predictive models, LTV, multi-channel attribution)
· Mentor and train junior team members in advanced analytics techniques, and help internal customers become effective and knowledgeable data consumers

Qualifications:
· Extensive statistical knowledge beyond basic analytics, algorithm development and data presentation/delivery is required. Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in the areas of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, A/B test design and experimental methodology (sample size determination, power analysis, variable selection, validation and reliability assessment).
· Ability to clearly communicate to expert but non-statistical audiences is crucial. Must be capable of not just presenting data results, but also interpreting the results and consulting with internal teams on optimizing the use of actionable information.
· Exposure to and familiarity working with a variety of analytic methodologies applicable to extremely large non-standard data sets (non-normal, high skew, heavy/long tail, zero inflated)
· Experience with designing innovative data mining techniques and analytics algorithms to improve user experience, conversion, and understanding customer behavior
· Expertise in predictive modeling, forecasting and clustering reflected in high proficiency with one or more of regression, time series analysis (ARIMA, other), variable reduction, machine learning, GLM, survival analysis. Exposure to nonparametric, robust and/or bayesian methodologies a plus.
· Proficiency in R required; additional familiarity with one of the following is a major plus: SAS, Python. Good graphical data display skills required in at least one stat graphics application.
· Expert SQL knowledge and experience working with enterprise database systems. Proficiency with Excel and Powerpoint or appropriate other light analysis and presentation software will be necessary.
· Desirable plusses: Scripting/data management programming skills; experience with SAS administration; experience with QA and CQI applied to experimentation and code production
· Masters or PhD in highly quantitative, statistically oriented field preferred
