FlatRate Moving® is seeking an experienced Jr. Carpenter with excellent carpentry skills to be a part of a successful carpentry team that is capable of fulfilling all tasks assigned in accordance to Company and OSHA policies and requirements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assists Senior Carpenters with general carpentry tasks such as assembly and disassembly of sofas, bookcases, bedframes and other furniture pieces;
• Create custom wood crates based on measurements provided by sales relocation specialists in addition to creating crates for damage prevention purposes for long distance and international moves;
• Ability to assist in minor repairs of furniture.

Requirements of the position:
• Basic knowledge of general Carpentry;
• Valid Driver's License;
• Basic knowledge of Disassembly/Reassembly;
• Furniture Handling;
• Good communication and customer service skills;
• Flexible working schedule;
• Team player but also confident working independently;
• Knowledge of basic tools and their use;
• Ability to accurately take measurements; and
• OSHA certification a plus.
