POSITION: DESIGNER / BUILDER
High-end Brooklyn-based design studio & woodshop looking for a full-time designer/builder for immediate hire. We are an established company with over 25 years of experience designing and building custom interiors, furniture, retail/institutional spaces, and museum exhibitions. We are looking for someone to work closely with the owner to develop custom designs from concept to production. Previous experience producing shop drawings via SketchUp and autoCAD, estimating, and managing projects is desirable. Candidates should also be familiar with all shop equipment (sliding table saw, jointer/planer, etc.) as well as all aspects of the production of custom work and on-site installation. This is a unique position which moves between office work, shop-production, and on-site carpentry. Persons with previous experience in design industries as well as construction will be favored.
