Lab Technician Wanted (Tarrytown, NY) Tarrytown

Our client is an American international confectionery, food and beverage conglomerate, employing around hundred thousand people around the world. They are seeking a Lab Technician to use various types of machinery, lab equipment and complex computer programs to perform their tests.

Responsibilities of the Lab Technician:

Lab Pilot Plant Work - Perform company standard analytical methods: Density, Flowability, Particle behaviors, Dissolvability, Maintain and calibrate analytical tools
Shelf Life Testing - Initiate and administer shelf life studies, schedule sample pulls and review sessions
Provide general assistance to Developers when requested
Materials and Supplies - Monitor inventory of finished products and ingredients in lab inventory, order and maintain supply
Maintain lab and equipment cleanliness
Shipping - Prepare and ship ingredient and product samples to different sites, generate related documentation i.e. bioterrorism and customs forms

Requirements of the Lab Technician:

Strong in math and calculations
Strong computer-based skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
Good interpersonal skills, ability to interact with Product Developers, Pilot Plant personnel
Attention to detail and ability to compare prior results to current analysis for differences
Ability to learn client's internal computer systems: Outlook, etc
Excellent organization skills
Ability to multi-task and work independently
Must be flexible with changing needs and possess good problem solving skills

Education Requirements:

Associates Degree 1+ years experience in the food industry
Bachelor's Degree preferred 1+ years experience in the food industry


compensation: $18.00 - $20.00/hour
