Super Star Services is currently accepting resumes for a Salon Assistant/ Personal Assistant for its Valley Stream salon. As a Salon Assistant you'll be responsible for providing assistance to the Appearance Enhancement Specialist by performing shampoo and conditioning treatments, ensuring equipment is regularly cared for, cleaning and maintaining hair department appearance and attending to guests. Ideal candidate must demonstrate a positive attitude and professional image.

As an assistant you'll be responsible for providing a high standard of hair service under the direction of a Creative Director. You will be expected to cultivate new guest relationships and ensure retention of existing guests. You must display the highest standard of guest service. Continually meet and/or exceed service and retail objectives and style experience, (students welcomed). Scheduling flexibility and reliability required for evenings and weekends. You'll be responsible for exceeding our guest expectations by providing them with impeccable guest service. Responsibilities include receiving guest at check-in with a warm welcome, caring for their experience, and providing a fond farewell at check out. Other duties include: answering phones, booking appointments and selling, displaying exceptional knowledge of products and services offered. Perform various administrative functions as assigned, greeting salon guests, phone and email communication. Social Networking, blogging, and creative marketing opportunities within our organization would require applicable knowledge and experience in computer software proficiency, as well as a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Ideal candidate would be outgoing, self-motivated, enthusiastic with a professional appearance and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service. Other requirements include:

- Strong customer service skills. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, service with a smile, tact and diplomacy
- Vehicle for travel, buying supplies and running errands

- Previous hospitality/hotel experience a plus and previous call center or reservation booking experience in a fast-paced service environment

- Excellent (English speaking) communication skills.

- Positive attitude and enthusiasm

- Team player with good organizational and interpersonal skills

- Strong PC and keyboarding skills

- Able to handle multiple duties simultaneously

- Available to work varied shifts (evenings and weekends)

- Comfortable in a style-conscious, high-end salon, Friendly, Fashion Forward and an excellent Multi-Tasker.

-Must be flexible with time and have experience with multi-ethnic hair, especially natural hair of ALL texture

- Cutting and coloring

- Shampooing

- Blowdry experience (with round brush)

-Braiding experience
