We are a thriving e-commerce company located in Midtown Manhattan seeking candidates for a Brand Manager (e-commerce merchandising) to serve as a Marine Product Specialist (boating equipment and products) in our Purchasing Dept. This individual will act as the sales champion for the category and be responsible for the merchandising, purchasing, and new brand launches to support products offered and sold through our e-commerce websites, affiliates, and call center. Objective of the Role:
Working closely with the V.P of Merchandising, other Executives, and multiple depts., this person will be the "go to" in-house expert on marine products and brands for all individuals and departments within the company.

Responsibilities:
• Developing and maintaining favorable relationships with manufacturers and vendors
• Identifying areas of opportunity to drive revenue and profit
• Report on sales activities and assist in upselling on sales quotations for end users to increase sales and attach rates on marine orders
• Provide direction on merchandising tactics to adjust performance levels and build on the existing business model
• Incorporate a consumer-centric perspective to establish a greater presence in the marine category
• Create Seasonal marketing plans, identify key selling points, and provide product-knowledge expertise to online customers and sales staff
• Use data to increase the performance of products and services sold, as well as fuel changes within the selling channels (online and via salesforce)
• Drive efficiency and new thinking in areas such as competitive response, increasing Average Order Value via Attach Program, and e-commerce
• Lead cross --functional department initiatives as assigned
• Some travel required to visit suppliers, distributors, events, etc.
• Work independently and within a team to reach individual, department, and company goals

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in related field or specific industry experience
• 3+ Year(s) experience Retail Buying/Merchandising experience
• Strong understanding of financial performance, analysis, forecasting, and assortment management required
• Assertive, "Take Charge" attitude willing to take ownership of work
• Strong communication skills **Key Qualification**
• Very strong Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot charts, pivot tables, etc.)
• Marine industry experience strongly referred
