FlatRate Moving® is seeking a Paralegal to work directly for the Company's Legal Department. Qualified candidate will support General Counsel in employment, transportation, and corporate law matters. This position reports directly to the General Counsel and will support in enforcing intellectual property rights, legal research, the compliance and organization of public auctions, responding to incoming calls and requests, representing company in small claims court, and managing outside counsel invoices.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Transportation, Labor, IP, and Corporate Law research as necessary;
• Maintaining regulatory compliance for multiple entities;
• Drafting correspondence to enforce Intellectual Property rights;
• Handling outgoing and incoming calls;
• Compliance for all public storage auctions; and
• Assistant General Counsel with miscellaneous projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred;
• Knowledge of employment and labor laws;
• Ability to work under pressure and with deadlines;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Previous transportation law, federal and New York, experience a plus;
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, email and internet savvy.
