Apple-Metro, Inc. is the exclusive New York Metropolitan Area franchisee for Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar®. Our portfolio currently includes 30+ Applebee's® in the five boroughs, Westchester and Rockland Counties.

The Human Resources Intern will provide quality recruitment and administrative support to Apple-Metro's HR team. You will have the opportunity to apply critical thinking, analytical, and interpersonal, and organizational skills.

This position will give you the opportunity to work with a well-established organization. You will also gain valuable knowledge and exposure to human resource management.


Must have an interest in the Food & Hospitality industry.

Responsibilities
•Assist in recruitment efforts by sourcing, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks
•Assist in the on-boarding process for new employees, research websites, and maintain employee files
•Conducting Background Checks for new employees
•Sending out correspondences to applicants who have not been chosen for positions
•Assist with monthly HR Audits to meet compliance standards.
•Attend HR Department meetings as needed.
•Special Projects and all other duties as assigned.
•Updating and Maintaining ATS systems (Taleo, Dine Equity); Data entry

Requirements
•Must be pursing an undergraduate degree related to Human Resources Management/Business Management
•Able to receive academic credit for participation in the intern program at an accredited college / university
•Must commit to 10 week summer internship starting in June
•Able to dedicate a minimum of 24 hours a week
•This is a paid internship of $10hr
•Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
•Prior experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
•Must have strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
•Prior experience working in a corporate environment preferred
•Detail oriented, superior organizational skills
•Can do attitude
