Seeking Teacher Assistant - (Valhalla, NY) Valhalla

Project Explore in Valhalla, NY is seeking a Teacher's Assistant to provide educational services, under the supervision of the teacher, to children with varied behavior issues and disabilities.
Essential Responsibilities:
1.Work under supervision of classroom teacher.
2.Assist in caring for physical needs of children.
3.Supervise class when teacher is involved with individual students or in staffing.
4.Attend staffing, departmental in-service meetings as assigned.
5.Assist in keeping classroom and program supplies ready and well maintained.
6.Maintain professional ethics in the building and out, regarding the discussion of pupils, and their conditions.
7.Adhere to the Program and Agency policies.
8.Assist individuals with toileting and personal care needs when necessary.
9.Assist with behavior management of children as outlined by Program and Agency policies.
Qualifications:
High School education or GED a must. Bachelors Degree preferred.
Two (2) years practical experience working with children is preferred.
Teacher Assistant Certification a plus.
